  • A dental implant is actually a replacement for the root or roots of a tooth. Like tooth roots, dental implants are secured in the jawbone and are not visible once surgically placed. They are used to secure crowns (the parts of teeth seen in the mouth), bridgework or dentures by a variety of means. They are made of titanium, which is lightweight, strong and biocompatible, which means that it is not rejected by the body. Titanium and titanium alloys are the most widely used metals in both dental and other bone implants, such as orthopedic joint replacements. Dental implants have the highest success rate of any implanted surgical device.
  • Orthodontic treatments like braces help move teeth that are crooked or that do not fit together right. By fixing these problems, orthodontics can also help keep your mouth healthy. Crooked teeth can be harder to clean, putting you at risk for cavities and gum disease. Using x-rays and other tools, we will decide if orthodontic treatments are right for you.
  • Root canal or endodontic treatment—treatment done to the inside of the tooth—is necessary when the pulp becomes inflamed or infected. The inflammation or infection can have a variety of causes: deep decay, repeated dental procedures on the tooth, faulty crowns, or a crack or chip in the tooth. In addition, trauma to a tooth may cause pulp damage even if the tooth has no visible chips or cracks. If pulp inflammation or infection is left untreated, it can cause pain or lead to an abscess.

During root canal or endodontic treatment, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed with a rubber-like material called gutta-percha. Afterwards, the tooth is restored with a crown or filling for protection. After restoration, the tooth continues to function like any other tooth.

  • Metal-free crowns are immensely popular with our clients looking for natural and authentic dental solutions.

    1. Alumina – a procera milled tooth-coloured core that layering porcelain can be sintered to, offering an unrivalled blend of biocompatibility, beauty and fit. Alumina is used for single crowns only, in the anterior region.
    2. Zirconia – an extra strong tooth-coloured core material, which can be coloured to match Vita shades. Zirconia exhibits the same qualities as alumina but is strong enough to be used in both the anterior and posterior regions and for milling long- and short-span bridge substructures.
    3. Gradia – a high-quality composite material used mainly for inlays/onlays.
    4. Feldspathic veneers – still one of the most natural looking restorations on the market, a quartz-based porcelain, usually made on a foil base or refractory die, the porcelain is then built up in layers to full contour and finally etched and bonded in the mouth. They are extremely translucent and can be finished to a thickness of 0.4mm, resulting in lifelike, aesthetically pleasing veneers.
    5. Minimal/Non-prep veneers – this type of veneer product is becoming increasingly popular. They are extremely thin and require little or no reduction of enamel, resulting in the long-term preservation of the tooth or teeth veneered
